Resisting the urge to add bacon to everything is hard. We broke down this time and are we ever glad we did. Using cast iron to grill bake is tricky but as long as you're on top of stirring and keeping an eye on things, it's handy and distributes the heat evenly. Recipe: 1. Boil macaroni pasta with a pinch of salt for about 15 minutes or until al denté if ya nasty. 2. Mix together a 1/4 cup of butter, fresh garlic, onion powder, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper, 1.5 cups of milk. Shred 3 cups of sharp old cheddar and 3/4 cup of Parmesan. Mix all together and stir into drained pasta. Soak your hickory chips for 2 hours. . 3. Fire up the grill on high heat to start the chips smoking. Stir the mac and cheese and let simmer over low direct heat for about 30 minutes. Get some bacon going and stir a bit of grease into the pasta. Stir in your bacon chunks whenever. You do you.
